Todays: Grape, by Kasugai

Well, we finished off the last of the Japanese gummies. Today’s flavor was grape. we had some mixed reviews…

E- tasted like a whole pitcher of grape Kool Aide shoved into a tiny gummy. 2 stars

C- nasty smell and taste- 1 star

B- the superior of all the Japanese gummies. 5

S- overpowering taste/smell- 1

M- really really good- 5

J- in her own words, “super-fantastic!”- 5

A- “They tried WAAAY too hard to make it taste like grape, so they made it overpoweringly grape-ey, which made it pretty disgusting, and yet somehow slightly desirable. Oh, and it smelled pretty good… ” 2 stars.

Well, the average was a nice average 3  1/3 stars. I personally thought these were pretty bad, but half of us gave them perfect scores! go figure.

Today’s: Lego, by Kellogs

This is E, back in control :) Today our friend C contributed to our ever-growing collection of gummies with a pack of multicolored Lego blocks. They were, just to clarify for all you confused people, gummies. Here’s what we thought:

E- purple- grape- perfect texture, good taste, nothing VERY special- 3.5

B- green- no real flavor, but a good texture. awarded 2 stars

M- too chewy, overly cherry, 3 stars

A- blue- good chew AND flavor. 3.5

S- blue raspberry- “awesome” was her only comment- 4.5 stars

J- yellow, lemon- 5

C- for some reason, C’s thoughts are not written down. I was not the “scribe” today, so it’s not MY fault :I but I’ll update when I find out. Anyway, the average was 3.5833333333333… et cetera, et cetera. We all seemed to have different ideas about these, but the average turned out to be just that- average. check back!

M- 4- Red- Great taste
     -3- Dark Red- Weird taste

B-4- Dark Red- pretty good

C- 3.5- Green- Great flavor, too hard

A- 3- Blue- Kind of sour taste, pretty good

J- 2- Red- Watermelon taste was way too sweet- gross!

This is what the gummy looked like!

These Batman gummies were pretty good- the shapes were kind of hard to identify, so I won’t include them here.

S- 4.5- Purple- Very good, claimed that it was one of the few grapey gummies that actually taste good

E- 4- White- really good. reeeeeeeeeaaaallly good. Couldn’t really find the right name for that flavor, but it was great!

M- 4- White- Couldn’t figure out the flavor, tasty, though, with a nice chew.

B- 4- Blue- Bad texture, good taste

A- 3.5- Blue- Classic gummy taste and texture :)

C- 3- Yellow- Not chewy enough, OK flavor

J- 3- Purple- Waaay too grapey

So our average was a nice, round, 3.71

Kasugai’s Pineapple Gummy Candy

•January 9, 2009 • 1 Comment

The opinions on these pineapple gummies were pretty varied- some raved about the delish flavor while others claimed it was nasty-

M- 5- Great texture

B- 5- Fantastic taste

E- 5- Great flavor

A- 3- I thought it had a unique, tangy flavor- not great, but not horrid.

S- 2- Creative, but didn’t taste very good

C- 1- GrossGrossGross!

J- 1- Took a sniff and wouldn’t eat it!!!

The average was about a 3.14 (Hey! It’s pi!), and we agreed that these were still better than the Kasugai’s Muscat flavor.

These were really good! As we passed them around, we were all oohing and aahing about how great the gummies looked- and smelled. They were brightly colored, and shaped like Dots candies, with little smiley faces on them- cute, huh?!

J- green-5- not too chewy, good flavor
    – Blue- 4- pretty good

S- Blue Rasberry- 5- Awesome taste, although it “got stuck in my braces”

E- green- 4- really good flavor, perfect texture

C- green- sour apple- 3- too chewy

M- Blue Razz- 5- Excellently chewy, ”Tastes just like a blue raspberry should taste!”

B- red- 5- ideal texture

A- red- 4.75 ( I do seem to mess up the average, don’t I?!) - A great burst of flavor

The average on these was an impressive4.46875- As you can see, some of us liked how chewy it was while others did not.
